Zara Ribeaud was first introducted to the world of miniatures by her mother, who took her to the Kensington Festival when she was 12yrs old. The seed was sown and ever since Zara has strived to create miniatures for herself.
The inspiration for her passion for Basketry comes from the huge variety in daily use in her adopted country of France.
French women & men use wicker baskets when shopping in the markets in preference to plastic carriers. Her pieces can be found in many museums and collections around the world.
