Nicola was trained as a designer and illustrator and has a natural ability for needlework which is evident in her pieces. She has been designing and making miniature tapestries for the past fourteen years. Inspiration for her designs comes from popular Georgian and Victorian period patterns, they are not copies, and all are her own originals. Each one a masterpiece of originality and skill.
Each tapestry is sewn using pure extra fine 'Mulberry Silk' on the best quality Silk Gauze. 56hpi (holes per inch) and 48hpi are used to create the finest finish. All the wooden furniture used to compliment Nicola’s work is made by David Booth. A celebrated miniature furniture maker in his own right.
